The world is round

Once upon a time there was a round world. Your eyes, round. Your navel, round. Round the oranges, the wheels, the coins, round the rings and the balls. The moon, sometimes round. And I, counting, completely happy. You will not find for several kilometers around, stories rounder than these that I roundly tell. I fell round when I found them and I refuse to shut them up. With poems and songs, I round. And round point. I play with poetic fragments from The world is round by Gertrud Stein, also with a record player and some paper puppets. Sometimes I sing a Japanese song, an Algerian song, a lullaby that my friend Carlos gave me and a song I made up about a cat. Sometimes I say a poem that I made up and sometimes I rap it. Sometimes not. Some stories have to do with cows and girls loose around the world, some are traditional (I know from all continents) and some I make up. Stories or bits of stories of Antonio Ventura, Federico Delicado, Antonio Rubio, Mandana Sadat, Marjane Satrapi and even some invented by me may appear. MAGDA LABARGA About Magda Labarga She has been telling stories since 1992. She has participated in oral storytelling and theater festivals in Spain, France, Peru, Colombia, Costa Rica, Argentina, Mexico, Chile, Cuba and Portugal. She has received the first SGAE Award for Children's and Youth Theater 2009 for her play Lejos de ella. Some of her books published by her are: Paloluz, Berta, Vacant Shells. She teaches oral storytelling courses for various centers, such as the National Dramatic Center, the Madrid Actors Union, La Cuarta Pared ..., among others. Some of her latest works are: direction of the site-specific El perro del hortelano, Festival de Teatro Medieval de Elche. Unspeakable Nights at the Zaragoza Auditorium. Marathon of the Tales of Guadalajara. .. among many others.
