Under the direction of the project's curator, Massimiliano Casu, 14 Matritense dance scenes that occurred in the 20th and 21st centuries have been brought together in this book, told by their protagonists, by direct witnesses or by people familiar with the events. In the words of Casu "the publication opens windows from which to look out to look at that immense dance floor we call Madrid, revealing facts, subjective memories and pirouettes of the imagination without any pretension of strict and demonstrable veracity."

The publication has texts by Abida Allouh Asor, Melania Beraldo, Massimiliano Casu, Ismael Clemente Ortego, Gloria G. Durán, Raquel G. Ibáñez, Roborob Funklover, Amparo Lasén, Pedro José Mariblanca Corrales, Meneo Andrea Olea, Irie Queen, Servando Rocha and José Salas. Most of the authors will participate in the presentation on Saturday, which will close with a dance.

CentroCentro's line of publications, started in 2019, complements the exhibition activities and the public program and aims to leave a greater memory of the activity carried out by the center, especially some of the most significant programmed projects. Its objective is to generate and share knowledge and provide new approaches to the stories on which today's cultural panorama is based. Understood as a critical tool for thought, but also as a vehicle for updating and review, the texts address those languages and themes on which the center's projects deal: history, sustainability, visual arts, architecture, sound creation...

Other CentroCentro publications are: Ciudad interior [in the Rural Galaxy], Cuestión de Ambiente. Diversity in the literary and artistic Madrid of the 1920s, Forgive me. I'm talking, watery Madrid, A green jade lake, Crossing the limits. Other looks at the Cibeles Palace, Traces of VANG: the suspended spring and Through the sand, Singular Plural Frequency.

The publications can be downloaded in their digital version at centrocentro.org, and are available in the CentroCentro stores, Casa de la Panadería and in the online store.
