This exhibition offers a retrospective look at one hundred years of dialogue between the arts and nature, a fruitful relationship that spans from surrealism to the present day.

The fascination with the forms of nature is as old as art itself.
Through a collection of pieces from the Centre Pompidou, this exhibition reflects on the past and present of the relationship between art and nature, between culture and science.

Works by Picasso, Miró, Le Corbusier, Raoul Hausmann, Dubuffet, Georgia O'Keeffe, Neri Oxman, Alvar Aalto, and many more are on display.
The exhibition offers a journey through 20th and early 21st-century art through a fruitful dialogue between different creative languages ​​surrounding art and nature. In this era, when, under the yoke of multiple crises—climatic, ecological, and territorial—nature as we know it is in danger of disappearing, there is a pressing need to reconsider our ties to the world around us and on which we depend.

The exhibition presents some eighty pieces from the collection of the Musée National d’Art Moderne – Centre d’Art Georges Pompidou, with a significant presence of artists from recent decades who have contributed new and committed points of view. Painting, sculpture, photography, design, and architecture are presented in a transversal journey, structured into four thematic sections: metamorphosis, mimicry, creation, and threat. In a presentation that eschews didactic categorization or chronology, visitors will delve into the universe of nature, which, in the digital age, seems to be the ultimate example of purity and truth.
