Danny Grissett Trio – “Travelogue” | The art of traveling in jazz
Pianist Danny Grissett arrives at Jamboree to present his new work Travelogue (Savant Records), a sonorous journey full of sensitivity, elegance and swing. A company with a long history of master Tom Harrell, Grissett has established itself as one of the most refined of contemporary jazz, connected with its lyricism, the highest harmonic sophistication and a deep connection with tradition.
Travelogue combines proprietary compositions and jazz standards to explore the concept of “home”: a feeling that brings together people, records and moments shared. After visiting Los Angeles, New York and Vienna, Grissett transforms his life experience into music full of soul and emotion.
On this special occasion, the pianist will perform in trio format with Josh Ginsburg on double bass and Francesco Ciniglio on drums. A night to enjoy the most exquisite jazz, both Travelogue and classics by Ellington, Corea and Monk.
