Description

COMETA

Cometa's is one of those rare appearances that come along every now and then. Dazzling and dazzling, as its name suggests. Their approach revolves around rock in its broadest sense, creating songs that are immediate anthems, with a torrent of catchy melodies, magical chords, sing-along choruses, and universal, generational lyrics.

Everything comes together in Cometa's show, as these four Madrid-based guys were kind enough to call it. Jimmy, Gonzalo, Pablo, and Dani have the audacity and self-confidence of someone in their twenties, but the background and expertise of someone we assume to be more experienced. Overflowing with musical ideas, their songs are packed with unexpected twists and unforgettable harmonic hooks.

"No Creo en el Amor," their dazzling introduction, confirms this. The structure, lyrics, and performance make it clear that we are witnessing an extraordinary talent. Cometa may have lost faith in romance, but they can win over even the most skeptical to the guitar cause. After all, they're four friends who one day got together in a rehearsal room to compose a handful of songs. In other words, and as befits only a select few, they're capable of practically anything.

ANABEL LEE

Neither indie nor punk, Anabel Lee. This is the motto that guides Víctor Mejías, Albert Perdices (Perdi), and Jordi Orellana to form the indie punk band you won't want to miss. The friends from Terrassa came together in 2019 to form a band that draws influences from British punk and noise, through new wave and punk rock. In

2021, they released their self-titled debut LP. That same year, they released the EP Generación Perdida, which features hits like Concha Velasco.

February 2022 marks the date on which the Barcelona-based group released their first single under Vanana Records with Roma Caerá. This was followed by the singles "Natural" for VOGUE, "El Espacio," "Me Das Asco," and "Drama en el Sonorama," all included on their second album "Ganamos Perdiendo," released in 2023. These tracks complement the tracks "Soldado Universal," "Cristales Rotos," "Fleabag (Gente Mal), "El Nuevo Orden," "Panas y Lamentos," and the explicit "Tus Putas Canciones." The new album is a work in which the band reconciles with life through rock, punk, and pop anthems that get straight to the point, reflecting nonconformity and hope.

Anabel Lee eschews labels. They've arrived to create their own sound and, above all, to showcase it in a heartbreaking live performance that they're demonstrating on the stages of venues and festivals. A brutal concentration of energy that seeks, in their own words, "to make us bleed."
