Ilan Amores is the alternative troubadour who has taken ownership of cumbia and filled it with poetry and countless stories. With a magnetic and disruptive identity, he fuses cumbia, rock, and punk—one of his deepest roots—to build his own language that connects the classic with the modern, the local with the universal. His music has already touched the hearts of icons like Damas Gratis, Andrés Calamaro, and Manu Chao, and today it leaves the new names on the scene speechless.

Raised in Misiones, Argentina, Ilan is a multi-instrumentalist and composer. After an extensive career as the bassist for the punk band Argies, in 2017 he established himself as a solo artist and has been shaping his own style, with sensitive and raw lyrics that converse with electronic and alternative rhythms. His releases have solidified his artistic identity and strengthened his connection with his audience.

In 2024, he released Caballo Negro, the album that marked a turning point in his career and positioned him as one of the leading figures in Argentine alternative cumbia. His sold-out performance at Niceto Club confirmed the power of his live show and launched a new phase of international exposure, with invitations from Andrés Calamaro and Manu Chao, and his participation in “La Velada del Año V,” organized by Ibai Llanos.

During his time in Europe in 2025, Ilan accompanied Manu Chao on shows in Spain and Italy and performed ten sold-out shows of his own in several of the continent's most important cities. Back in Argentina, he once again sold out Niceto Club and embarked on a 2026 where he will continue touring, solidifying his place as the new king of alternative cumbia.
