Description

The French film THE KIDS ARE ALL RIGHT, directed by Nathan Ambrosioni, has been awarded the Silver Biznaga Audience Award for Best Film in the Mosaico Official Section of the 29th Málaga Film Festival, which will close on March 15.

The award includes an €8,000 prize for its distributor in Spain. THE KIDS ARE ALL RIGHT is expected to be released in theaters around June 12, distributed by Paco Poch Cinema.

SYNOPSIS: One summer night, Suzanne, along with her two young children, pays an unexpected visit to her sister Jeanne. Jeanne is surprised: not only have they not seen each other for several months, but Suzanne also seems distant, as if disconnected from herself. Upon waking, Jeanne is astonished to discover the note left by her sister. Shock gives way to anger when, at the police station, Jeanne realizes that no search can be launched: Suzanne has chosen to disappear...

THE DIRECTOR
Nathan Ambrosioni, a French director, screenwriter, and editor, made his feature film debut with Les Drapeaux de papier (2018) and has developed a filmography focused on family ties and emotional intimacy. For Les Bientes están bien (The Children Are All Right), he won the Best Director Award (shared) and the FIPRESCI Prize from the International Federation of Film Critics at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, establishing himself as one of the most prominent young voices in European cinema.
