Description

With a professional career of more than six decades, José Sacristán, face and voice of the history and present of Spanish cinema, has received the honorary recognition awarded by the Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences of Spain for being, in words of who was president of the institution until 2022, Mariano Barroso, "a model of dedication, passion, ethics and professionalism for all young filmmakers, and a colleague much loved by all, who has been able to move forward from the reflex which has brought us back to the screen some of the great changes we have experienced in our cinema and in our society".

He then embarks on a journey that will cross Argentina, wandering along back roads with no fixed itinerary. Soon he will be joined by a woman he has met along the route. The dying person is aware that any road leads to the whole world, that the destination does not matter, only the movement, the feeling of never stopping. "We swallow this story wishing it was more accessible than it is, but celebrating that there are still filmmakers in Spain who remain true explorers" (Sergi Sànchez).
