Torna Bivac, the CCCB's youth thinking festival, is an edition that invites us to think about the subtraction, what is left over, residual and marginal, but what it faces persists.
Who decides what is a waste? The residue ens endreça? What can be done from the remains? How do you know anything new about what is not volgut or rebutjat? Beyond the conventional definitions of subtraction or residue, the festival focuses its attention on the other meanings of the paraula to show its potential. We will explore the residue as all that remains, that persists and that sovint deixem to the margins.

From blame to subtractions. How did we arrive here? This is the question that opens the Bivac 2026 festival, through two videos created by Pol Crosas. How does the surtaula live? Through an epistolary exchange in conversational format, Fer Rivas and Paula Melchor ask who our most intimate remains are and in what way they settle into our things. With a tiny fragment of poma peel that remains trapped between the teeth and that insists on treure'ns at the tip of the tongue but that is resistant to giving way, uncomfortable and unbearable, the guests explore how these everyday violence end up becoming embedded in the cos in order to pierce the flesh.

Transformation of the taula into a collection of Structures 3000. The taula ceases to be a simple support but becomes a material archive of the festival, a form that, when transformed, shows that all permanence is also a succession of remains and traces, a collection of memory.

Be the one who is not volgut. Lluís Garau and Lucas Altaba explore, through dance and music, the limits between the world and the world. From a multitude of rests, a society that rewards individual effort and a system that allocates and takes responsibility for collective adventures, the group of people that we curate Bivac presents the paraula and asks us: What woman is our shit?

This performative action, both dramaturgical and directed by Pau Matas, reflects with the very residue of being an idea but becoming a thing that belongs to physical space, which acquires, therefore, a mundane reality. We will then become a production team that collects the objects accumulated throughout the night to fit them into a common collection. A shared reflection on the residue, the subtraction, the remainder and the trace.

What happens when we say that the rest is contamination between them? To carry out the festival, we will build an atlas in which objects, images, gestures and fragments are posed in relation to create an open constellation. We are spectators of some remains that are discovered, interact and acquire our meanings.

Presenting with a starting point the Atles Mnemosyne of Aby Warburg, we propose to play both the images and the objects in order to question what persists, what returns and what potentially faces a subtraction.

Traces

How to create textures between the traces? The visuals of the Lesbjs collective and the sound space of LaFrancesssa will resonate with all the traces that have been present throughout the festival. This audiovisual piece poses a relleu les empremtes on s’amaguen el rebuig, la letjor i la brutícia. The artists approach each other chemically and aesthetically to the different residual materials and symbols, projecting on the screen all that cannot be seen.
