The Gran Teatro CaixaBank Príncipe Pío celebrates the New Year's Concert for the second consecutive year.
The old North Station, recently converted into a majestic scenic space, will act as the Great Hall or Golden Hall (Große Saal or Goldener Saal) of the Musical Society, the Musikverein, of the Austrian capital.
The CaixaBank Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of its artistic director and head José Sanchís, will be in charge of interpreting the classic Vienna repertoire, taking a tour of popular classics where the Strauss family waltzes and polkas and songs such as “ The Blue Danube ”,“ Radetzky March ”,“ Hungarian Dance No. 5 ”by Johannes Brahms or pieces from“ Carmen ”by Georges Bizet.
A unique concert that can be enjoyed by lovers and connoisseurs of classical music, as well as those who are yet to discover it. The most special way to start the new year with magic.
