Description
The composer Robert Schumann used to say that “music is more than words.” Indeed, music speaks for itself. Capable of expressing what verbal language cannot, it constitutes a tool for communication, an accessible sensory pathway, and an effective means of interaction between emotions and the environment. Music helps in the holistic development of the individual, allowing them to develop all kinds of skills and abilities. And, no less importantly, it is enjoyable.
The Teatro de la Maestranza is resuming its collaboration with the Goñi y Rey Foundation for another season. For over ten years, its LUNA Project (Universal Language for Child Artists) has been using music as an ideal vehicle that operates on different levels. The involvement of students and teachers from schools, conservatories, and music schools guarantees the success of the initiative, which is further enhanced by the enthusiastic participation of composers and librettists. Story by story, the LUNA Project continues to bring music to the classroom and, from there, to the theater, where all the work done previously comes to fruition. Course by course, values such as creativity, discipline, coexistence and teamwork bring to life the experience of making and sharing music: a demonstration of its inexhaustible energy.
