The iconic Argentinian band Tan Bionica will return to Spain this fall with two highly anticipated concerts, marking their reunion with Spanish fans. The group will perform on October 22nd at Sala Razzmatazz in Barcelona and on October 25th at Madrid Live Las Ventas, as part of their new international tour. In 2024, the band sold out shows at Razzmatazz and La Riviera and participated in the Hispanic Heritage celebrations with a show at Puerta del Sol.
Formed in Buenos Aires by Santiago “Chano” Moreno Charpentier, Gonzalo “Bambi” Moreno Charpentier, Diego “Diega” Lichtenstein, and Sebastián “Seby” Seoane, Tan Bionica established itself as one of the most influential Argentinian pop-rock bands of recent decades. Their musical style, which blends pop, rock, and electronic music, quickly resonated with several generations of fans throughout Latin America.
Between 2010 and 2015, they achieved enormous success with albums like "Obsesionario" (2010) and "Destinología" (2013), works that included some of the biggest anthems of recent Argentine pop, such as "La melodía de Dios," "Ciudad mágica," "Ella," and "Obsesionario en La Mayor," songs that became classics in the band's repertoire.
After a hiatus that began in 2016, the group reunited in 2023 with the "La Última Noche Mágica" tour, a phenomenon that sold out in record time and took the band across Argentina, Latin America, and Europe. The tour included five completely sold-out stadiums in Buenos Aires, including Vélez, Estadio Único de La Plata, and Estadio River Plate, and sold more than 550,000 tickets across 38 concerts, making it one of the most successful tours in the region.
Throughout their career, Tan Biónica has accumulated three Gold and three Platinum records awarded by CAPIF for their albums Obsesionario, Destinología, and Hola Mundo. The group was also nominated for a Latin Grammy in 2013 in the Best Pop/Rock Album category for Destinología. More recently, in 2015, the band won two Gardel Awards, including Best Live Album for La Última Noche Mágica – Estadio River Plate and Best Pop/Rock Song for "Arruinarse," a collaboration with Airbag.
This new phase coincides with their recent album, "El Regreso," their first album of original material in over ten years. The album features 10 new songs and collaborations with artists such as Nicki Nicole, Andrés Calamaro, and Airbag, and debuted on Spotify's Global Top Debut Albums chart, with all of its tracks entering the Top 50 in Argentina during its first week.
With this new album and an international tour underway, Tan Biónica reaffirms its place as one of the key names in Spanish pop-rock. Their upcoming concerts in Barcelona and Madrid will be a unique opportunity to relive live the universe of songs that has defined a generation.
