The maiden

Korea, 1930s, during Japanese colonization. The determined young Sookee is hired as a maid for a rich Japanese lady, Hideko, who remains reclusive in a large mansion under the influence of her dominant uncle. But Sookee is there with a secret purpose: to help a swindler who is supposed to be a Japanese count to seduce Hideko and later inherit his uncle's fortune.
