This summer, the CCCB offers creative workshops for young people from 14 to 17 years old. If you want to experience both the things, the images and the ideas of beauty that surround them, these collective creation workshops are for you.
We will focus on the exhibition "The Cult of Beauty" at the CCCB to ask ourselves how the images that we see every day in the artists, in the fashion sector or in advertising are constructed, and what is the one that does not appear to represent us. From here, we will begin a creative group process to imagine what new beautiful forms we can create.

Week 1. From June 29 to July 3, with Paula La Fea
Starting from a tona (yes, 1,000 kilos) of rubbish to improve, serve, inflate or transform, we will build a large immersive installation and l'anomenarem L'emprovador. Normally, an entrepreneur is an espai on the cos s’confronta al mirall and les expectations. But here it will become something else: a desire to exaggerate, deform, play and experiment with both ways of appearing and letting us see.

At the end of the workshop, we will pose in Marx the installation with a performative action. A unique way to explore identity, things and images.

Week 2. From July 6 to 10, amb Blanca Almendariz Granero
What is left outside of camp in the “perfect” images of Instagram and TikTok? How do we use images to explain who we are? How do they mark the stereotypes when photographing and photographing us? We will try to answer these questions by creating a collective audiovisual piece.

In this creative video workshop, we will experiment with the camera and editing based on purposes that will help us look at ourselves in a different way. We will explore, with humor and irony, the invisible rules of embellishment: those little tricks, gestures and positions that make some images always seem perfect. We will also play with the camera, open the focus and focus on things that are outside the center of the image, but that can be intriguing, surprising or exciting.

The workshop will culminate with the screening of the film created between all the participants.
